Sunday night…

I have a love/hate relationship with Sunday nights….depending on what is going on with my job, I can love it or hate it.  This week – I’m a little bit of both.  I have a crazy week coming up – work is just nuts right now, and I just can’t keep up with the work or problems.  But on the good side – I have two interviews this week (ssshhh…I’m keeping this quiet so don’t say anything if you run into someone I work with!).  On Friday, its the summer outing for work down the Shore.  Larry, Cieara and I are going (its amazing how open a 15 year old is to going to a work picnic when she’s been grounded for weeks!).    So I’m dreading work, and looking forward to the fun.  Interviews are never fun, but could lead to good possibilities.  So an up and down week.

Did you see Tiennie’s Cobblestone pullover?  The pattern is in the Fall Interweave knits – I didn’t really register it when I first got the magazine.  But seeing Tiennie’s beautiful sweater made me go back and relook at it.  And then it made me order the yarn – I bought the Blue River – I hope its not too blue for Larry.  I can’t wait to get the yarn – the sweater is knit in the round – love it!  And yes, I know – I will wait to start it once I finish my UFO’s in August.  Maybe.  We’ll see.  Maybe just start a little…..

Larry is teaching me to play golf – we’ve been to the driving range a couple of times.  Next is actually going and playing a few holes.  I cheat terribly at mini-golf, so hopefully he won’t mind my doing that in real golf!  I think it will be fun, and it will be a good way to spend some time with him.  Maybe I’ll convince him to try knitting….fair is fair, right?

I spun for a little this morning – its been a while, and I really enjoyed getting back into it.  I want to finish up some of the roving I have so I can make room for Rhinebeck!

OK, it’s dinner time.  No pictures this time…but have a great week (and enjoy the rest of your Sunday night!)

Hmm…I hate Sunday night regardless of whether work is going well or poorly. Unfortunately it has been all “poorly” lately which makes it worse–your description of your work sounds like mine! I’m crossing my fingers for your interview.

I love your Maple Leaves scarf–sorry I didn’t get to comment in the proper post 🙂

My copy hasn’t arrived here yet – I live in hope each day, but I’m liking what I’ve seen on the previews and it’s good to hear positive things about a pattern before you try it yourself. That Cobblestone Pullover looks really nice. Wouldn’t mind one for myself! Goodluck with your interviews!!!

Good luck, with the interviews. They’re always stressful!

Since Larry is teaching you to golf, you need to make TWO vests so you both can wear them. 🙂

The Shore thing sounds like fun. It will be a good “cool down” for what sounds like a hectic week.

I loved Tiennie’s Cobblestone pullover! I can see why you were so tempted to buy yarn to make one. Kudos to you for learning how to play golf. You’re a braver man then I am, Gunga Din. (Or something like that.) Good luck with your interviews!
